GENERAL RACE INFORMATION:

COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION.

AMAZING RACE FOR KIDS, GREY BRUCE will begin with our Race

Registration on the evening of Friday, September 15, 2023 @4pm – 7 pm

at Camp Presquile, and your weekend will finish on Sunday, September

approximately 6 pm. Both team members must be present for that

period. Dinner and prize presentations will take place after the event.

Each team will have TWO members, at least 19 years of age, to

participate. One team member MUST be able to swim (with a life jacket).

AMAZING RACE FOR KIDS, GREY BRUCE; Race Team designs all

aspects of the race with your safety in mind. You do not need to be

super athletic to compete, but please remember that this can be

physically challenging. Also, challenges may push you beyond your

comfort zone. That is the nature of the AMAZING RACE FOR KIDS,

GREY BRUCE experience; it will push you to try new things and will be

truly exhilarating for all participants. Please be sure that you are serious

about this opportunity before applying.

We will be giving all participants a contact number for you to distribute to

your family in case of emergency to contact us. There will be no contact

with friends and family allowed by the racers unless extreme

circumstances exist, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Phones are locked away during the day of the challenges unless

otherwise stated. They can be used in the evening once you have

checked in with Volunteers.

The entrance fee is $400 per team (for 2 people), and racers will not have

additional expenses during the race weekend. Your fees include meals,

snacks, t-shirts, water & transportation. You are invited to bring your own

snacks for dietary reasons if you would like.

Teams are expected to raise a minimum of $1,000 via pledges and the

$400 entrance fee. Additional pledges over and above the $1,000 will

allow you to purchase tokens that could advance you in the game. Teams

are expected to put a strong effort towards collecting pledges for our

wonderful nonprofit Organizations.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

To apply for the AMAZING RACE FOR KIDS Grey Bruce, each team

must submit the following:

1) An application form. Only completed application forms will be considered.

2) Two (2) team photographs: One photograph needs to be a close-up headshot and the

other an action shot. Be sure to use your team photographs to show your personality. Get

creative! We do ask that both photographs be appropriate and unaltered – we’re looking

for real-life creativity, not Photoshop creativity. They will be used for our website, so we

ask for the highest resolution and size you can send.

Social Media sites are free and you can include our link. ** Teams are expected to raise a

minimum of $1,000 via pledges.

** All teams are provided with TWO AMAZING RACE Grey Bruce T-shirts.

ENTRANCE FEE & PROCEDURES

Once your team has sent in the completed application with the registration fee, the

AMAZING RACE for KIDS committee will send you your Race package. You may pay by

cash, e-transfer, or by cheque. We will provide you with more details at that time.

Note: We consider a team’s application as “received” once we have received the

completed application forms from BOTH team members, as well as two pictures that

follow the rules.

Please note that as each team has completed registration and their payment is received, they

will be placed on the website.

We will confirm, by email, that we have received your application, and we will contact you by

email to obtain your entrance fee. After we have received payment, your pledge kits will be

mailed to you.

Be Fun: Our Committee is looking for teams that are enthusiastic, energetic, and

creative people that will contribute to the already amazing experience of THE AMAZING

RACE FOR KIDS!

Be Honest: Complete your application honestly. The Committee is usually pretty

good at spotting a tall tale!
