GENERAL RACE INFORMATION:
AMAZING RACE FOR KIDS, GREY BRUCE will begin with our Race
Registration on the evening of Friday, September 15, 2023 @4pm – 7 pm
at Camp Presquile, and your weekend will finish on Sunday, September
17
th
approximately 6 pm. Both team members must be present for that
period. Dinner and prize presentations will take place after the event.
Each team will have TWO members, at least 19 years of age, to
participate. One team member MUST be able to swim (with a life jacket).
AMAZING RACE FOR KIDS, GREY BRUCE; Race Team designs all
aspects of the race with your safety in mind. You do not need to be
super athletic to compete, but please remember that this can be
physically challenging. Also, challenges may push you beyond your
comfort zone. That is the nature of the AMAZING RACE FOR KIDS,
GREY BRUCE experience; it will push you to try new things and will be
truly exhilarating for all participants. Please be sure that you are serious
about this opportunity before applying.
We will be giving all participants a contact number for you to distribute to
your family in case of emergency to contact us. There will be no contact
with friends and family allowed by the racers unless extreme
circumstances exist, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Phones are locked away during the day of the challenges unless
otherwise stated. They can be used in the evening once you have
checked in with Volunteers.
The entrance fee is $400 per team (for 2 people), and racers will not have
additional expenses during the race weekend. Your fees include meals,
snacks, t-shirts, water & transportation. You are invited to bring your own
snacks for dietary reasons if you would like.
Teams are expected to raise a minimum of $1,000 via pledges and the
$400 entrance fee. Additional pledges over and above the $1,000 will
allow you to purchase tokens that could advance you in the game. Teams
are expected to put a strong effort towards collecting pledges for our
wonderful nonprofit Organizations.
