Directions: You and your partners should

choose ONE (JK I

CHOSE FOR YOU) of the following topics to research and

present to the class during the course of this unit. Prepare a

brief (5-7 minute) presentation (see rubric below). Limit your

text to key points and provide pictures/graphics to enhance your

presentation. Use Google Slides so you can collaborate with

each other. All presentations should be sent to Mr. BAILEY prior

to the presentation date noted by each topic.

TOPICS:

● China’s Relations/Policies toward Hong Kong

o Historic/Current (be sure to include the Umbrella Movement)

● China’s Relations/Policies toward Taiwan

o Historic/Current

● China’s Judicial/Legal System

o Include burden of proof, conviction rate, death penalty crimes, reforms (labor camps?)

● China’s Relations/Policies toward Tibet

o Historic/Current (include recent protests)

● China’s Relations/Policies toward Falun Gong

o Explain what Falun Gong is and why China has reacted negatively to it

● China’s Two-Child Policy

o Explain how it has changed over time, its effects on population, marriage, etc

● China’s Policy towards Muslims

o Explain Historically and the current day, Include, but do not focus on, Tibet
