On April 23
rd
, my classmates and
I received our internship &
vicarage calls. We were each
placed with a congregation to
serve in across the USA.
My home for the next year will be
in Plano, TX, serving at Lord of
Life Lutheran Church.
I am so excited to serve my Lord
and His sheep there, and to learn
what I can to be a better
deaconess when I receive my
official call in the future.

My momma came to
support me on Call Day!
Hello folks!
My final semester at
CSL is coming to an
end…on campus
anyway!
It’s been
wonderfully
bittersweet
making new
friends here at
seminary. You
only have one
year to get to
know everybody
who’s not in
your cohort, but
it’s a blessing to
have been able
to be a part of
their lives for
even a short
amount of time.
These three ladies – Lara
McComack, Jessica
Thompson, and Abby
Reynolds – have been such a
huge blessing to me!
It’s been a joy to learn more
about deaconess ministry
with them, and to grow in
my faith alongside them.
Lara was my first close friend
here in a completely new city.
Jessica is my cool and
brilliant older sister. Abby
gives the best advice (and
hugs!) And baby Ezra – who
we joke is Abby and her
husband’s gift to us – is my
favorite deaconess nephew.
My boyfriend,
Jacob Manning,
received his call
to Jacksonville
Beach, FL 😊
Change is both exciting
and terrifying! I had a lot
of worries and tears this
past year, but through it
all, God’s love has
remained consistent.
I may not know what
tomorrow holds, but I
know that whatever is in
store for myself, and for
you, and for our loved
ones, God will continue to
use it all for our good and
for His glory.
In Christ’s love,
