A Professional Exhibitor is defined as anyone who has earned more than $1,000 during a calendar year
either by selling their items, teaching the subject, doing extended exhibiting, or involving themselves in
other professionally related activities in a capacity that would give the entrant unfair advantage over a
hobbyist. Unless otherwise designated as a Professional section, all other sections are Amateur.

premium (prize) monies.

QUILT CLASSES - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Quilt entry classes reflect the class standards used by The Quilters of South Carolina and other
quilting organizations.
All quilting will be entered by technique and size.
The quilt size refers to the perimeter of the quilt (the measurement around the quilt). Measuring the
length of all sides and then adding all the lengths together determine the perimeter.
All entries must be the sole work of the exhibitor, except in classes for groups.
If someone other than exhibitor does the quilting for a fee, it is considered as professional quilted
and should be entered under the Group quilt section of Hand-Quilted or Machine-Quilted.
School Group Quilt classes may be found in the Youth Division.
Quilts must be made entirely by exhibitor, with exception of group classes, and completed within
the last three years.
Quilts must be clean and in good condition.
The quilt measurements in some classes refer to the perimeter of the quilt.
